Star Wars: Rogue One - 12 Big Questions We're Asking After The First Trailer

An undoubted highlight of the trailer, amongst the AT-ATs and Death Stars and Stormtroopers, was the unexpected appearance of Mon Mothma. I'd thought she might have a role in the film, but to see her so early on was a nice surprise, and it's also incredible just how much Genevieve O'Reilly (who also had a small part as the character in Revenge of the Sith) looks like her. Mon Mothma wasn't even in the first Star Wars film, so how she fits into things here will be interesting, but nonetheless it was a fun moment. 

It also begs the question of which other characters we'll see come back. Around this time you wouldn't have a Luke or even an Obi-Wan, but someone like Princess Leia is heavily involved in the Rebels' plans - could we see a younger actress (perhaps Carrie Fisher's daughter) portraying her, and maybe an appearance from Bail Organa as well? Similarly, R2-D2 and C-3PO would make some sense, and it wouldn't be a Star Wars film without them.
