Star Wars: Rogue One - Predicting The Entire Plot In 10 Steps

Not spoilers necessarily, but there are some unplanned reveals from Star Wars Celebration in this entry. Proceed with caution.

Now we're getting to a point where this group of heroes who we've never seen post-Rogue One are going to start dropping like flies. As already discussed Saw and Galen are early casualties, but the team itself aren't guaranteed to make it off Scarif. Let's take a look at every individual's odds of survival.

At Celebration, Jiang Wen couldn't quite stop himself and gave up far more of the plot than he perhaps should have, revealing that Chirrut would die and in response the deceitful Baze would finally become heroic. This is likely to be in a blaze of glory, meaning those two characters are gonners.

We've seen very little of Riz Ahmed, which is partly because, as a pilot, he's not involved in much of the ground action, but so little presence likewise suggests he's an expendable. The big emotional death, however, will probably be K-2SO's, a character who's been gruff and conventionally unlikable throughout, but could be made into a tragic figure cursed by his own self-awareness.

Finally, as fitting as it would be, it's highly unlikely that Jyn or Cassian will die given that, at the end of the day, this is still a big blockbuster and one that needs to end on a final note that isn't completely crushing.
