5. More Major Characters Deaths
So, after, erm, that scene in The Force Awakens that I don't really want to talk about anymore in this article (though I will have to later on...), we've had the first major death in this new trilogy. For better or worse, though, that's just the beginning. For both the Resistance and the First Order, there's a good chance that more major characters will be killed off over the next couple of films, even saga stalwarts and childhood heroes we'd like to think untouchable (yes, I'm looking at you, Luke Skywalker). It's just the nature of the battle, and some of these characters getting older, that we're going to have a few casualties, and not everyone will be making it to the end credits of Episode IX.
