2. Lando

Some might snear at how charitably Donald Glover's Lando has been written to make him look as cool as possible, but while that is an issue for getting the new Han Solo over, there's no getting round the fact that he's a strong selling point.

This trailer gives us more of the frosty cool and the mythology building and if you're one of the fans coming in specifically to see more Lando, it's bound to delight. He has his own cocktail droid, for God's sake.

Glover's performance will be enough to actually draw audiences in on its own, so you can see why there'd be so much put into it. It's a brand that LucasFilm know will work, so doubling down on him makes sense. And his casting is still one of the most perfect things about this entire movie, so it's also inevitable that the film-makers might be a little pleased with themselves.

And if Ron Howard can balance him against others without his MVP status being too cynically manufactured, it'll be fine.
