Star Wars: Solo Trailer 2 Reactions - 8 Ups & 3 Downs
3. The (Heist Movie) Action
On top of the Western vibes, it's great to see that we're getting a full-on heist movie feel to Solo because that will help replace the drama lost in knowing that all of the principle cast survives. Or at least the ones we've been allowed to care about so far, anyway.
By the look of it, we're going to get the traditional teaming-up sequence, the heist and then the revelation of a double-cross and there's no arguing with the logic of it. It's a model that has worked before and it definitely should in this universe - particularly against the backdrop of the criminal underworld.
There's definitely going to be lots of action too, if this trailer is anything to go by, which is definitely what we need. Han Solo is a man of action and watching him literally learn everything that made him such a valuable ally in the Original Trilogy and The Force Awakens in action is what this movie should always have been about. And by the look of it, there's at least a few meaty set-pieces in there to get pulses racing.
