Star Wars: The 11 Actors Who Played Darth Vader

As the lightsaber fights got more complex (and David Prowse began to break more and more of the sword props), a more professional fencer was needed. Enter Bob Anderson, who severed as Darth Vader during the duels in The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi, after being the character's general (uncredited) stunt double in Star Wars.

Although for many actors Vader is the height of their career, Star Wars is just another string to Anderson's, who choreographed the likes of The Lord Of The Rings, Highlander and James Bond.

Anderson also appeared out of the suit as a Rebel Officer during the Battle of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back.
