Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Awesome Things (That Won’t Happen)

7. Ahsoka Tano And Luke Skywalker Training After Return Of The Jedi

While some parts of the Expanded Universe have been jettisoned, the popular Clone Wars cartoon series wasn't one of them. The series which aimed to fill in the gaps between Episodes II and III and, among other things, really set out to explain what Obi-Wan meant when he said he fought with Anakin in the Clone Wars. In addition to this however, the introduced Anakin Skywalker's padawan learner, Ahsoka Tano. She remained a bit of a mystery through the series because she didn't appear anywhere in Episode III. At the conclusion of her story arc in Clone Wars, she is put on trial by the Republic and expelled from the Jedi Order. Though she is exonerated and offered a return to the Order, she declines, noting her distrust of the Council. While this mitigated a number of issues, including the fact that most of the known Jedis are killed at the end of Episode III, it leaves open the possibility that she is still alive during the Original Trilogy, somewhere. Since it is already known that Luke goes missing for decades after the events of Return of the Jedi, the Luke might find his father's apprentice and advance his training. There's no reason Ahsoka couldn't have continued her training in secret but then again maybe she didn't. Certainly the two of them could work together towards building their knowledge of the Force.
