Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Awesome Things (That Won’t Happen)

6. Luke Resurrects Anakin To Bring Balance To The Force

Part of what turned Anakin Skywalker to the Dark Side was the Legend of Old Darth Plagueis The Wise and his ability to raise people from the dead. With his mother dead and Anakin's premonition of his wife's death, this was more than enough to tempt him. In Return of the Jedi, Luke is persistent in seeing the good that remained in his father until the end when it seems he was redeemed. With reports that Luke has gone missing for decades in the galaxy, he could be searching for a way to resurrect Anakin without the elements that led him to become Darth Vader in order to fulfill the prophecy that he will balance the Force. This could even put Luke on the road to ruination, a boon to fans of the Expanded Universe when Luke indeed does briefly turn Sith. Such a journey could land Luke somewhere in between the Light and Dark Side of the Force, perhaps leaving him a Dark Jedi. This search, perhaps, could land him at the doorstep to the solution of a number of mysteries, including the mystery of the new Sith we've seen holding Vader's helmet in promotional materials.
