Whilst photos, stills, and snippets of footage featuring the newcomers and the veteran cast have been teased out, there has been a very surprising lack of promotional material for the original trilogy's main character, Luke Skywalker. In fact, aside from seeing a few seconds of R2-D2 and a cloaked figure who may or may not be Luke, there has been literally no mention of Luke anywhere and only a brief passing reference to the Jedi. So where is Luke and where have all the Jedi gone to? With the last of the Sith gone, Luke could presumably restart the Jedi Order without any interference but it appears that he's gone into hiding with R2-D2 and the Jedi remain as endangered as ever. The lack of Luke-related information has resulted in fans going wild with theories over Skywalker, his whereabouts, and what has become of the Jedi. Theories have ranged from Luke hiding his Jedi power away until he dies, Luke hiding away from everyone due to his fear of turning to the Dark Side, and Luke going AWOL because he has already turned to the Dark Side. With so many questions, so few answers that have been given, and so little time left before the film is finally released, December can't come soon enough.
