Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 "Mind-Boggling Twist" Theories

4. Finn Is An Empire Spy

The sleeper cell/defector is actually a double agent of the Empire, charged with infiltrating the Rebel forces and taking out Princess Leia and Han Solo, or destabilising the defences in a more general way. There has been talk about double agents already, though that was mostly limited to Domhnall Gleeson's General Hux - the rumoured anti-weapons of mass destruction activist. Having Finn take that role instead would be something of a curve-ball. Any Evidence? As Finn himself says, he was "raised for one purpose" and while he's being painted as a defector (or suggested to be a Rebel sleeper cell inserted into the Empire by his parents at a young age), it would be a shocking revelation to see the assumed hero reveal his true colours. Though Finn's surname is being withheld for a reason, that doesn't necessarily compromise his potential as a secret villain: perhaps the Empire were aware of his parentage and used it to their advantage in conditioning him?
