Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Minor Characters We Desperately Need To See More Of
7. Lieutenant Connix
Another background character from The Force Awakens, one of the most significant things about Lieutenant Connix is of course the fact that she's played by the real-life daughter of Carrie Fisher, Billie Lourd. For that reason alone, many fans assumed that she would at least have a speaking part in the movie, but no one would blame you for not realising that she actually made any sort of appearance! Despite the fact that The First Order's Starkiller Base was destroyed, the Resistance will no doubt be moving planets now that their enemies are aware of their location, but that doesn't mean the staff should change. Star Wars Episode VIII has the chance to flesh out characters like this without introducing a bunch of new faces just for the sake of it, and it feels like there's definitely some sort of story to tell here. Connix hasn't been heavily featured in the various tie-in novels (meaning we know very little about her other than the fact that her name is Kaydel Ko), but she has to be wearing her hair like that because Leia is totally her hero, right? Oh, and yes, that is indeed Peazy up there with her, so at least a couple of scenes exploring their dynamic and mutual respect for the General would be a nice little touch in Rian Johnson's sequel.
