2. Finn & The Lightsaber

It's hard to know what to make of ex-Stormtrooper Finn and his blue lightsaber. Pre-final trailer, audiences had already glimpsed the guy holding the iconic weapon on one of the posters. But given that it's generally thought that Rey is the main character of The Force Awakens, this seemed a little... well, odd. And then came the flash of a scene in the final trailer depicting Finn, lightsaber in hand, facing off against bad guy Kylo Ren in a snowy wood. As Ren approaches, Finn staggers slightly, looking both confused and inexperienced with the weapon. So what is going on and why does the sight of Finn wielding a saber feel so inherently wrong? Enough to make you feel a tad nervous about the story at play, anyway. He's clearly not a Jedi at the start of the movie, given his status as a Stormtrooper gone rogue. But then it makes little sense that Finn could become a Jedi over the course of a single movie - especially when there's so much other stuff to cover. The whole scenario has been rendered as purposely vague, of course, but that doesn't mean that it's not a tad questionable. Here's hoping Finn has merely picked up the lightsaber, à la Han Solo.
