Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Questionable Moments From The Final Trailer

9. Kylo Ren's Mask

Kylo Ren's mask is... uh, well.. it's... different, that's for sure. At first glance, it conjures up images of some kind of insect-like fly creature. Whether or not that was intentional, who knows? It wouldn't be incorrect, however, to say that first sight of this Vader-worshipping character's headgear promotes a feeling of "unintentionally funny." The problem with having another evil masked character, of course, is that you're competing with Darth Vader. Now, maybe Vader's mask - stripped of its iconic nature and context - would be laughable in this day and age, too. Regardless of that, though, Kylo Ren's mask has an inherent silliness to it - its long, anteater-like snout ripe for parody. Here's hoping that within the frames of the film it comes across as a bit more menacing.
