Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Theories On How It Ends
5. The Rebels And The First Order Fight To A Stalemate
Based on past conflicts between the Rebels and the Galactic Empire, it seems that despite the Rebels managing to destroy two Death Stars and inflicting massive losses on the Empire, the Empire perseveres and manages to claw back victory every now and again (such as the Hoth invasion). With their conflict a seemingly close and hard-fought one, what if the Rebel and First Order have a massive battle in The Force Awakens but no one actually wins? Having covered possible good and happy endings, and sad loser endings, it makes sense that there's the possibility of a bittersweet middle-ground ending where no one wins and no one loses. The First Order have shown that they're overflowing with troops and resources whilst the Rebels have proved time and time again to be incredibly resourceful and have incredibly skilled people in their ranks. It stands to reason that the Rebels and the Galactic Empire (rebranded as The First Order) have both survived throughout the last few decades is because neither party is able to win and their conflict is like one between an unmovable object and an unstoppable force. It's bittersweet and somewhat frustrating, but this ending raises the stakes for the Rebels and the First Order in future Star Wars to up their game and to finally conquer the other.
My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem.
Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh.
