5. C-3PO, R2-D2 & Chewbacca

And of course, it would be a huge mistake if the new trailer didn't feature glimpses of the fantastic, beloved supporting trio that is C-3PO, R2-D2 and Chewbacca. If the reports are to be believed, R2-D2 will be seen beeping sadly as he watches Luke going into exile in the flashback sequence, while C-3PO will be hanging out with Princess Leia in a rebel command center of some kind. As for Chewie? He'll have a brief appearance in the Millennium Falcon as Han Solo walks toward it. So, it doesn't sound like they crack any cutesy one-liners in this trailer, but at least their presence is established, and it'll simply be great to get the first look at the characters three decades later. Get ready to shed a nostalgic tear or twelve.
