3. William Shatner Thinks The Film Is A Rip-Off
William Shatner is one of those celebrities who may or may not have gone insane, which is sort of what makes him such a hoot in this here internet age. You'd think that, given his association with space, though, Shatner would have loved The Force Awakens, and yet, nope: the man has dedicated lots of his precious time recently trying to tell Star Wars fans that the movie stole a bunch of its core ideas from other shows. To what purpose, you ask? None, really: just something to do on a Tuesday night. To date, the former Captain Kirk has accused The Force Awakens of ripping off Captain Phasma from Battlestar Galatica and the Resistance Pilot uniform from a series called Space: 1999. Then, later, he used his Twitter account to drop the ultimate bombshell, claiming that "those who can, do Star Trek; those who can't, do Star Wars." It doesn't even really make sense, does it? Still, can't beat a bit of Shatner, can you?
