Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 6 Celebrities Who Didn't Like The Movie

4. Brian Quinn Hates How The Movie Undoes Return Of The Jedi's Happy Ending

If you've ever seen an episode of TV's prank-based show Impractical Jokers, you'll probably be familiar with Brian Quinn. What you might not know about the comedian/host, however, is that he absolutely hated The Force Awakens, calling it "more bleak and depressing than Fight Club." Quinn disliked it so much, in fact, that Moviepilot have since branded him "the celebrity standard bearer for everyone who disliked The Force Awakens." Quite the accolade, you'll agree. Quinn's biggest beef with the movie stems from the fact that it wipes out the happy ending from Return Of The Jedi. He outlined said criticism during a podcast interview:
"They've taken every victory at the end of Jedi and completely thrown it out the window. I was like, Han Solo has spent at least the past few years of his f*cking life wandering around broke and penniless and depressed. They took the Millennium Falcon from him!"
You can sort of understand where he's coming from. After all, watching Return of the Jedi will never be the same experience as it once was. As Quinn so eloquently puts it: "Now when you watch Jedi you're gonna know that Luke's gonna f*ck up and get a bunch of kids killed." Which is kind of a downer, no matter how you try to tell yourself otherwise.
