3. Is Wicket The Ewok Going To Make A Glorious Return?
Warwick Davis, who originally portrayed the adorable but deadly bear-man in Return Of The Jedi, has already confirmed that hes going to be involved in The Force Awakens in some way, and its fairly certain that hes not going to just be knocking around making the tea. However, its not been confirmed that Davis will be reprising Wicket, and this final trailer doesnt give us any clues as to whether hell appear either. The best we can do is speculate wildly that the snowy forest in which Finn and Kylo have their lightsaber duel at the end of the trailer is actually Endor, and that Wicket is just out of shot waiting to smack Kylo to pieces with a big log. It'd certainly make sense for the action to revisit Endor at some point at any rate: as we'll discuss shortly, we don't know where Luke is or what exactly his role is. It's not outside the realms of possibility to imagine that he stayed on Endor after the battle in Return of the Jedi, and hence has been hanging out with Wicket for the last 40 years. Presumably theyre holding off on giving us too much of Wicket for the same reason as theyre holding off on too much Luke: because hes so intensely integral to a major plot point which theyre trying to keep on the down-low...
