Star Wars: The Force Awakens Final Trailer - 10 Major Things We Learnt

1. Luke Is Missing (And That's The Point)

A quick check of Twitter after the poster was revealed showed a lot of people saying the same thing: WHERE"S LUKE SKYWALKER?! After he didn't properly appear in the trailer - save for a repeat of that shot of the hand on R2-D2, which I and everyone else is assuming is him - the talk of Luke not being around has only amplified. That is exactly the point. It has been rumoured for a while now that Mark Hamill wouldn't be in this movie much, and every bit of promotional material has only served to confirm that idea. Part of the film's plot is likely to revolve around Luke's whereabouts, and exactly what is going on with him, but we aren't supposed to know the answers yet. He's obviously a reclusive figure for some reason or another, and I don't want to find out until the movie, nor do I even want to know what he's looking like in it (though it's easy enough to imagine him as an Obi-Wan type figure). Plus, the question that the film is really going to be asking and answering, and we should be wondering as well, is not where is Luke Skywalker. It's who is he? Did we miss any big reveals from the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer? Let us know what you made of the tease down in the comments.
