Star Wars: The Force Awakens Final Trailer - 10 Major Things We Learnt

3. Kylo Ren Vs Finn

The very first teaser, which seems so long ago now (it's been just under a year), gave us that first glimpse of Kylo Ren's controversial lightsaber (which looked awesome then and even more so now). He was igniting it in some sort of snowy forest, clearly ready for a showdown. Then, a month or two ago, Star Wars unveiled a new teaser on Instagram, which showed the same setting, but with Finn holding Luke's old blue lightsaber. It didn't take much to put 2 and 2 together, and this trailer definitively gives us the answer '4'. This is the final shot of the trailer, and is clearly designed to be the big talking point. It is that, and it's one of the most awesome scenes we've had, although not quite as obvious as it may seem. Since Finn was revealed to have Luke's lightsaber, it was assumed he'd be Force-sensitive. I didn't think that was the case then, and even less so now. I mean, just look at him. He doesn't look as though he has a clue what he's doing, and seems absolutely terrified. Presumably someone comes to his rescue here, because I don't fancy his chances in a duel with Kylo Ren. Another point of interest here is that Kylo Ren isn't wearing his mask. While it was a homage to Vader, there was presumably the hidden identity factor behind wearing it as well. Does this mean that he's deliberately choosing to reveal himself at this point, because of a connection to one of the other characters?
