Star Wars: The High Republic - 10 Things The New Saga Must Include

There are still a surprising number of people out there that forget that the whole point of the original two Star Wars trilogies was about one individual whose destiny it was to bring balance to the Force.

That individual, as we found out in The Phantom Menace, was Anakin Skywalker. But Qui-Gon Jinn's knowledge of the prophecy was not a clear illustration of just how old the prophecy was, and it is only in the expanded universe that we have even a hint about that.

The prophecy was sealed in a Jedi Holocron allegedly thousands of years before Anakin would ever become the Chosen One. But where exactly it came from and who made it still remains a mystery, and a film set in the High Republic that explores the prophecy could prove to be very interesting.

After all, many Jedi both in the films and expanded media did not believe in the prophecy thanks to the apparent extinction of the Sith, and who's to say that Qui-Gon was the only Jedi to ever think he had found the Chosen One? All of this would make for an excellent story to be told in the new saga, and help resolve one of Star Wars' greatest mysteries.
