Star Wars: The High Republic - 10 Things The New Saga Must Include
5. Teach Us More About The Force
The Force is what makes Star Wars, Star Wars. It powers the entire universe and everyone in it; it's a quasi-religion that's used for both good and bad by those who can harness its power, and it contains it's very own afterlife.
But much of what fans know about the Force does not come from the main saga of films, but instead the expanded canon. There have been numerous books, comics, games, and episodes from the various animated shows that explore the subject of how the force works.
Courtesy of The Force Awakens we even have a brilliant meme of Han Solo arguing about how it works.
The Force has transformed from being much more than this invisible power all around us, to being something which is capable of being manipulated, potentially sentient, or even having its own deities. Whilst it is amazing that so many creatives are given the freedom to explore the subject, it would be great to get some more definitive answers to how it works onscreen.
Fortunately, with the announcement of the cross-media Project Luminous, which will see the Jedi around the time of the High Republic set out to explore, and study the Force further, this is something we can expect to find out more about in the future.
