Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 10 Amazing Comics To Read While You Wait
5. Obi-Wan And Anakin
One of the prequels' biggest failures was that they didn't effectively communicate the relationship between Anakin and Obi-Wan. Ewan McGregor did much to create a sense of camaraderie and loss when his padawan turned, but - for the vast majority of the trilogy - their relationship felt really robotic.
It was just... there - we never really got to see what made the duo such an iconic one in the mythos. The Clone Wars animated series did much to rectify this, but even then, we never really got to see Obi teach Anakin in the aftermath of The Phantom Menace. That is, until Charles Soule got involved (again).
Obi-Wan and Anakin is another short miniseries by the writer and, much like his other works in a galaxy far, far away, it packs plenty of action and heart. More important however is its own sense of importance - it's very clear that this was a story that had to be told, and it elevates the prequels because of it.
Like Lando, Obi-Wan and Anakin's status as a short-lived miniseries ensures that it's easy to pick up and get into. And while yes, it will endear itself to fans of the prequels more-so than the OG faithful, it's worth a read irrespective of your feelings towards the franchise.
