Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 10 Amazing Comics To Read While You Wait
3. Chewbacca
While a solo Chewbacca series might sound like an impossible task, given the fact the character doesn't - y'know - communicate using words, Gerry Duggan and Phil Noto's series focussing on the character was surprisingly expressive.
Much of the book's vibrant nature can be attributed to Noto, who utterly nails Chewie and crafts the heart of the story with the Wookie in the lead. Indeed, the book utilises the familiar Episode IV-V setting and separates Chewie from Han, placing him in occupied territory with the company of a young human called Zarro.
We get to see the Wookie at his best here, as he takes on the planet's criminal element and the Empire before making it back in time for Dejarik with Han.
Chewbacca flew relatively underneath the radar when it released in 2015, but it's definitely a book worth reading, particularly if you're a fan of the Wookie.
