2. Who Made The Map Leading To Luke?

The Question: One of the biggest lingering questions coming away from The Force Awakens was: who made the map that led Rey and co. to Luke Skywalker?

It clearly wasn't Luke himself, who didn't want to be found, so who on Earth (or elsewhere) created the damn thing?

The Likely Answer: The real truth here is that the map was just a generic plot element to link Luke to Rey, and the clear hope now is that fans will just quietly forget about it.

This being Star Wars of course, they won't, and so explaining the map's creation will likely either require the convoluted introduction of a character who knew about Luke's intentions, or a semi-retcon that Luke did in fact make a single map to his location, you know, just in case.

Either way, it's pretty weak sauce, so honestly, just burying this one and forgetting about it is probably for the best.
