Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 31 Easter Eggs & References You Need To See
10. Kylo Ren Becomes Darth Vader
The Last Jedi is all about Kylo Ren ridding himself of his doubts and becoming the great, villainous leader that his grandfather was.
To that end, the film features numerous scenes where Kylo replicates the behaviour of his dear ol' grandpa.
For one, he Force-chokes General Hux near the end of the film much like Vader did to Admiral Motti in A New Hope, he betrays Snoke in order to save Rey just as Vader did to Palpatine, and a few bars of the Imperial March can even be faintly heard when he joins Snoke in his Throne Room.
9. BB-8 In Disguise
Finn, Rose and BB-8 manage to sneak on-board the main First Order ship with the help of DJ, and BB-8 hilariously ends up disguised as some sort of waste disposal device, which proves hugely confusing to BB-8's evil First Order equivalent, BB-9E.
BB-8's disguise is clearly intended to resemble a larger version of the MSE-6-series repair droids seen scuttling around on the Death Star in the original trilogy.
The dead giveaway is that BB-8 even makes the same distinctive, robotic chirping noise to try and make his cover that much more believable.
