Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 31 Easter Eggs & References You Need To See
4. The X-Wing Door
Here's one for truly eagle-eyed fans: the door to Luke's hut is quite obviously constructed from a metal that more than likely wouldn't be found anywhere on Ahch-To, and the reason for that? He took it from his own X-wing.
Luke's waterlogged X-wing is briefly shown residing in an alcove on the island, and having no more use for the vehicle due to his desire to die on the island, he seemingly removed one of its s-foil wings to act as the makeshift door to his hut.
You gotta keep those pesky caretakers out somehow, right?
3. The Knights Of Ren
One disappointing aspect of The Last Jedi is that it doesn't feature the reappearance of the Knights of Ren, who were significantly hinted at in The Force Awakens but were completely excised from the main story.
The Last Jedi does at least seem to suggest who the Knights are, though. Luke explains to Rey that, after Kylo Ren turned to the Dark Side during training, he buried Luke under some rubble, burned the Jedi Temple down, slaughtered most of the Padawans and then escaped with a few select members.
The implication seems pretty damn clear that these Padawans would become the Knights of Ren, though what actually happened to them, and whether they could re-appear in Episode IX, currently remains a mystery.
