Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 31 Easter Eggs & References You Need To See

20. Han's Dice

When Luke boards the Millennium Falcon in The Last Jedi, he grabs a pair of gold dice which belonged to Han Solo, and though you may not have ever noticed them before, they were hanging up in the Falcon in A New Hope and also reappeared in The Force Awakens.

Considering even most hardcore fans probably never noticed the dice, they are a strange object to fixate on as a poignant tribute to Han, though in fairness they were referenced much more in the Expanded Universe before it was removed from the Star Wars canon.

19. Battlefront II Is Definitely Canon

Though EA have insisted that their controversial new Star Wars game, Battlefront II, features a campaign mode that's totally canon to the universe, it's safe to say that it touts such an innocuous, forgettable story that nobody ever expected anything within it to actually be referenced in the new movies.

While it's still only the most minor of nods, it was surprising to see the compass that Luke obtains during one of Battlefront II's story missions visible in Luke's hut on Ahch-To when Rey takes a look around.

In the game, Luke salvages the artifact from an observatory which the game's villainous Inferno Squad has been tasked with destroying. The implication, it seems, is that this is the very compass which leads Luke to Ahch-To in the first place.
