Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 31 Easter Eggs & References You Need To See
16. Jurassic Park
After the Fathier creatures are released from their stables on Canto Bight and begin stampeding around the island, they eventually crash through the luxurious casino and cause all hell to break loose.
A moment before they smash through the window, though, a patron's glass of drink produces a ripple as they approach, which considering that Laura Dern also appears in The Last Jedi as Vice Admiral Holdo, is most definitely an intentional tip of the hat to Steven Spielberg's 1993 classic Jurassic Park.
15. Yoda Returns...In Puppet Form
One of The Last Jedi's most crowd-pleasing moments was the unexpected reappearance of Yoda as a Force ghost, who convinces Luke to help Rey on her quest.
What was most surprising about Yoda's appearance, though, is that he wasn't visualised via CGI as per the prequels, but rather the classic puppet from the original trilogy.
Though some might see it as a little jarring considering how fantastic the puppetry and visual effects are in the rest of the film, there's a charm to the somewhat dated Yoda puppet that made the scene so much more heart-warming than had Yoda been rendered with a computer. Fantastic.
