Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 8 Crazy Fan Theories You Need To See

7. Kylo Ren Is A Double Agent

Is Kylo Ren a Severus Snape-type character, a man who's actually working for the good guys by going undercover as a bad guy?

If this particular theory is to be believed, then yes he is.

According to several people on YouTube, Reddit, and folks dotted about in a couple of other places, Kylo Ren is actually working with Luke, Leia and The Resistance, with the ultimate goal of killing Supreme Leader Snoke and ending the tyranny of The First Order.

This obviously throws up a couple of questions: Why did he kill Han? Why hasn't he killed Snoke already? Wouldn't it be cool to see Snape in Star Wars?

Not all of them have answers, but the Han murder was supposedly to gain Snoke's trust (just as Snape killed Dumbledore to gain Voldemort's trust), with some people even believing that Han was in on his own death. That's just plain depressing.

Could there be more to Kylo Ren than his bad guy exterior would suggest? Of course. Is his whole "evil" act a mere charade? We can't help but feel like that's incredibly cheap and far too easy - kind of like the lame "it was all a dream!" fakeout that everybody usually hates.

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show.
