Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Everything We Know So Far

All of the cast from The Force Awakens will be back for this one, with the exception of Harrison Ford (bar a flashback), but they've also managed to find room for some newcomers as well.

They are Laura Dern (Jurassic Park, Wild), Kelly Marie Tran (CollegeHumor), and Benicio del Toro (The Usual Suspects, Sicario).

Of those, Tran is something of a wild card, given we don't really know what she's capable of. It has been reported, however, that she'll strike up a close relationship with Finn. Meanwhile Dern, a fine addition to the cast, is expected to be playing someone in the upper echelons of the Resistance.

Benicio del Toro, whose track record as a character actor speaks for itself, is the one who has spoken the most about his role, albeit with slightly conflicting statements. It was first reported he was a villain, which he then appeared to deny, and there's been a lot of flip-flopping about with whether he really is a bad guy or not, with suggestions from "intergalactic villain" to more of a Lando-esque rogue.
