Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Predicting The Plot In 10 Steps

1. Rey Vs Kylo Ren, Round 2

Rey catches up with Kylo Ren outside, and corners him. His only way out will be to face her.

Rey takes the fight straight to him; she attacks with ferocity and passion, desperate to avenge Luke's death. She soon overpowers her opponent; she was able to stand her ground at the end of The Force Awakens, and she's only grown in strength since then.

Kylo Ren is at her mercy. This is a situation like the one Anakin found himself in before he killed Count Dooku, or before he attacked Mace Windu. Will Rey let her anger and frustration, her negative side, get the better of her?

No! Rey wants to kill him, but she doesn't. She controls the force; the force doesn't control her, or compel her, anymore.

She has seen what the dark side can do to a person, what killing can do to a person, and she takes the moral high ground. She, truly, is the last Jedi, good to her core, and a successor that Luke would be proud of.

The film ends with Rey capturing Kylo Ren and taking him aboard her ship. As the ship flies off into space, the credits begin to roll.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
