Once Palpatine and the Final Order have been defeated, we cut across the galaxy to see celebrations at various planets, including a brief cut to the forest moon of Endor, where two Ewoks are seen hanging out.

As divisive as the Ewoks' presence in Return of the Jedi might be, if you're going to go the full unbridled fan service route as this film does, it probably would've been rude not to include them, honestly.
