30. Darth Plagueis

J.J. Abrams wastes no time at all giving audiences a glimpse of Palpatine, who is quickly discovered by Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in the opening moments of the movie.

Palpatine tells him, "The Dark Side is a path to many abilities some consider unnatural," a badass line which is actually a direct quotation from Revenge of the Sith, where Palpatine tells Anakin (Hayden Christensen) the very same thing during his iconic Darth Plagueis monologue.

It's an apt reprise given that, in Episode III, Palpatine was explaining to Anakin the potential for the Dark Side to negate death, which is precisely what he has seemingly been able to do in The Rise of Skywalker.
