Star Wars: A Visual History
11. Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2003/4)
In between Attack Of The Clones and Revenge Of The Sith, Cartoon Network aired two seasons of The Clone Wars. The first was short, four minute entries to go between shows, while the second consisted of full-length episodes that told a story that led directly into the final film.
Animated by Genndy Tartakovsky, they're some of the most visually distinct Star Wars media ever produced. Most notable for introducing General Grievous (so early in Sith's production he was lacking the trademark cough), they tell genuinely exciting stories that, in many fans eyes, succeed more than the prequels.
