Star Wars: Why Game Of Thrones' Creators Should Make Knights Of The Old Republic

4. They Can Bring In More GOT Talent

Ok, admittedly this one applies regardless of what story they do, but it's still an exciting proposition that lends itself particularly well to the idea of an Old Republic setting.

Weiss and Benioff have worked with some supremely talented people over the years on Game of Thrones, both in front of the camera and behind it, and it'd make sense for them to bring at least a few familiar faces over from Westeros.

With the duo producing and writing, there's an obvious gap for someone to direct this series, and just as obvious are a few of the names. Miguel Sapochnik has performed stunning work on Game of Thrones, with a sense of scale worthy of the big screen. It's not just that he's capable of capturing epic battles, but that he does so while imbuing the action with a real sense of character, rather than just a mass of bodies and action, and it'd be thrilling to see him try that in Star Wars, which KOTOR would allow. We've seen him capture swordfights, so let's swap that for lightsabers. The same, too, could be said of Michelle MacLaren, who is another of the best action directors around but capable of much, much more.

Beyond that, Michele Clapton could do some incredible work with the potential for the Old Republic costumes, like Revan's mask or Malak's cape, and a Ramin Djawadi take on a Star Wars score could be something truly tremendous. Actors are maybe less certain, since that's why they'd be more likely to mix it up, but you could surely have Diana Rigg as Kreia (if you take the story further) and Natalie Dormer as Bastilla, while any Star Wars film would be lucky to have Lena Headey and/or Peter Dinklage.
