11. Cliff Simon
Ciff Simon is a BADASS.
Long before his eyes ever glowed in Stargate SG-1, he trained as a young child in South Africa in both gymnastics and swimming, wanting to be the first South African to take home a Gold Medal in the Olympics. He eventually decided to focus more on swimming, emigrating with his parents to the United Kingdom due to the unrest in South Africa at the time.
He was offered scholarships in the US based on his swimming, and qualified for the 1984 Olympic Games. However, after all of that training, he decided against competing due the demanding nature of the constant training schedule.
After Stargate, he has gone back to his fitness ways. He had been a member of the South African Air Force, winning the highest honour that could be received - the Victor Ludorum. In 2019, he presented a documentary series, as part of which he traveled solo across the globe in some of the harshest terrain, all to solve ancient mysteries.
