Stargate SG-1 Cast: Where Are They Now?

2. Amanda Tapping

Stargate Sam Carter
MGM

Amanda Tapping was easily one of the strongest aspects of the Stargate franchise. Her infamous line cutting O'Neill to pieces regarding the location of her reproductive organs was brilliantly parodied later in the show by Tapping herself, proving just how tongue in cheek she was able to play the role.

Since Stargate SG-1 ended, Tapping would go on to reprise the role in both Atlantis and Universe, while also going on to star in Sanctuary as Helen Magnus. She then moved behind the camera (beginning in fact with an episode of Stargate, titled Resurrection).

She has received numerous awards, including one from University College of Dublin. She is dedicated humanitarian, having established the global charity Sanctuary for Kids in 2009.

As of August 2020, she has rejoined production on the American supernatural drama Motherland - Fort Salem as Executive Producer and Director for its second season.
