Steven Spielberg: EVERY Movie Ranked Worst To Best
27. Hook (1991)
Following the late-life adventures of a grown-up, boring Peter Pan (Robin Williams), Spielberg's take on the age-old bedtime story is a bit of a mess.
Alongside Williams' uncharacteristically subdued performance and the bafflingly long runtime, Hook is a film where the best aspect is Dustin Hoffman's take on the evil, paranoid titular character.
Unfortunately, though, Hoffman isn't enough to keep the film afloat, and outside of some so-so action scenes and an emotional family themed plot running through it, Hook watches like an over-long film bursting with potential that just... never lands.
