Granted, the titular Suicide Squad themselves could be utilised as the "heroes" of this movie, but everyone knows that the characters the DC Cinematic Universe really revolves around are the characters more recognisable as heroic, such as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, so fans will be waiting with bated breath to find out if any such characters will appear in this movie. A number of the characters in the movie have strong connections to Batman in particular in the comic books - Joker, Harley Quinn and Deadshot, for example - while Captain Boomerang is a Flash villain, which gives the team and the movie clear links to the Justice League. But there is also the fact that Lex Luthor may well appear, which could also give the movie specific links to Superman and the inclusion of the Enchantress could even give the movie a future link to the Justice League Dark. Regardless, the question of whether any truly heroic characters will actually appear remains unanswered at this stage.
