3. Is GQ Definitely Dead?
The Question: Scott Eastwood's Navy Seal character GQ Edwards is present for a big chunk of the movie, and gets his big moment in the climax by planting the bomb underneath Incubus that eventually destroys him. The last time we saw GQ, however, he was directly below the bomb, and he's never mentioned again, so is he dead or what?
The Likely Answer: The odds of GQ surviving are extremely remote, especialy as he's not seen again for the remainder of the film.
The fact that Rick Flag never mourns his fallen comrade and GQ is never even mentioned again is almost certainly a result of studio interference, because his sacrifice was surely worth at least a few moments of screen time to reflect on. Wait for the Blu-ray's inevitable treasure trove of deleted scenes for GQ to get his due.
