2. What Machine Was Enchantress Building?
The Question: When Enchantress begins her rampage against mankind, she notes how humanity is obsessed with machines, and so she will build a machine to annihilate them. That's all well and good, but we're never really told exactly what this machine is beyond it being a swirling vortex of light and metal garbage. So, what is it?
The Likely Answer: Even Ayer himself probably didn't have this one worked out beyond the metal-light combo that seems to dominate so many superhero movie finales. Perhaps Enchantress was going to raise all this metal and energy into the sky and then crash it down upon humanity, or use it to fatally alter gravity on Earth, or create a giant tidal wave or...take your pick basically.
Its ambitions clearly stopped at "she was going to kill or enslave everyone", but given that it was already hard to buy into Enchantress as a villain, the vagueness of her scheme sure didn't help.
