Suicide Squad: 10 Characters Who Could Steal The Show
8. Slipknot
Experienced and versatile actor Adam Beach (seen in everything from Nic Cages wartime actioneer Windtalkers to sci-fi fare like Cowboys & Aliens) will play the knot-loving evildoer Slipknot in the film, a skilled assassin who uses chemically-enhanced unbreakable ropes to take down his enemies. Again, we havent seen a great deal of him in the advertising so far, which could have some interesting connotations. In the latest trailer for the movie, Slipknot was seen lashing out at a guard after seeing that Captain Boomerang had already started attempting to break rank. Maybe there's a chance that he will continue targeting the government employees that boss him and the rest of the Squad around, in a continued bid to try and escape. Perhaps he's the uncontrollable wildcard of the team. If that's the case, it would go some way to explaining why he doesn't have much of presence in the trailers - maybe the government can't control Slipknot, and end up killing him instead. A chain of events like this would help cement the idea that being in the Suicide Squad isn't the safest occupation. These guys have explosives implanted in their heads to stop them acting out (at least in the comics), and the stakes of the film would be much higher if the audience see someone killed for failing to follow orders. Everyone loves a martyr, too, so Slipknot's tragic end could make him a posthumous fan favourite.
