Suicide Squad: 14 Obscure Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

9. The Hillside Gang

And now for the second of David Ayer's call-back Easter Eggs to his own movies.

In Diablo's backstory, we learn he's a gangbanger, with probable drugs related crimes at the top of their rap-sheet thanks to the cash and guns he has lying about. It's actually also revealed at one point that he was in the Hillside gang, as emblazoned on the back of his jacket.

That of course is a call-back to Ayer's Training Day: the Hillside Gang are the outfit Alonzo hires to kill Hoyt.

Incidentally, Diablo's last words are in Spanish: "Ya te chingaste, wey!", meaning "You're so f*cked, dude!" Talking smack to a demon - what a guy.
