Suicide Squad 2: 10 Big Reasons To Be Excited
6. More Obscure Characters Being Brought Into The Spotlight
A major motivator behind fans going out to see the less prominent comic book movies is the potential to see more obscure characters that they love. Not every fan favorite hero/villain is on the popularity level of Batman and the Joker. That's why the idea of filling the second Suicide Squad with mostly new members has immense potential.
And this isn't about characters like Slipknot who are pretty obscure for a real reason. Instead, this is about representing comic personalities that are strange and unique, allowing for some differentiation between the anti-heroes and villains. Whether they're like a Count Vertigo or King Shark, mixing them among the likes of Deadshot and Harley could both keep things balanced and extremely fresh from what's come before.
This also extends to villains, where characters like Clayface or Solomon Grundy could pop in, giving the Squad a worthy foe and audiences a new face they haven't seen before.
