Suicide Squad 2: 10 Things It Must Do Better Than The Original

1. Play To Each Character's Strengths

Like Liam Neeson in Taken, each character in Suicide Squad has a unique set of skills, but the film doesn't really get the most out of them.

The villains got to show off their party tricks at least once, but having Killer Croc take to the water on a single occasion and Captain Boomerang hurl his trademark weapon a couple of times is barely scratching the surface.

Suicide Squad 2 needs to tailor its setting and missions carefully, playing to the strengths of each character. Harley Quinn must get plenty of opportunities to manipulate and swing her bat, and the Captain should be hurling boomerangs left and right and while Deadshot watches their backs from a vantage points.

Showing the team functioning as a unit is a good way to build on the original, but giving the characters more opportunities to be themselves is key to the sequel succeeding where its predecessor largely failed.
