Suicide Squad: 8 Plot Twists No One Will See Coming

4. Rick Flagg's A Traitor

Based on the few details which have so far been revealed about Suicide Squad, Rick Flagg is going to be the only real good guy in the movie. While some of the villains will no doubt have at least a few redeeming qualities to make them borderline relatable, it's Flagg who is going to be there to ensure that this team has some sort of moral compass in the field to keep them in check. However, there's definitely something strange about the guy. While it makes sense that he has a bodyguard in the form of Katana, utilising a killer like her definitely points to him having a darker side. If that is the case, then some sort of reveal that Flagg has been using Task Force X for nefarious means would feel like a moment that's earned rather than a cheap twist that feels thrown in for the sake of it. Of course, this would still need to be handled in a way which surprises the audience (a post credits scene perhaps), and that could be achieved by ensuring that Flagg is portrayed heroically throughout Suicide Squad. There was a rumour along these lines some time ago (involving Rick Flagg, Sr.) so of all those listed here, this is one which quite possibly has the best chance of knocking your socks off next year!
