Suicide Squad: 8 Plot Twists No One Will See Coming
3. Dick Grayson Is The Joker
By now, you've no doubt already rolled your eyes at the surprisingly popular fan theory that former Robin Dick Grayson is The Joker in Suicide Squad. As controversial and crazy as this would be, it could work. After all, you need only look at The Dark Knight Returns and The Dark Knight Strikes Back (the former has already inspired much of Batman V Superman) for an idea of how this would go down. In the first of those Frank Miller penned tales, The Joker broke his own neck and framed Batman for his murder. In the second, a deranged Dick Grayson returned to Gotham City as the new Joker, so why couldn't something along those lines have also played out in the DC Extended Universe? Hinting at this reveal in Batman V Superman and making it official in Suicide Squad would definitely leave fans stunned. Would this be a smart move on Warner Bros.' part? Well, it would certainly get people talking and vastly differentiates Jared Leto's Joker from those which have come before, that's for sure. Despite how angry and upset the fandom would be by a change as big as this, there's no denying that it would come out of nowhere and really give moviegoers something to think about by the time the credits roll.
