Suicide Squad: 8 Plot Twists No One Will See Coming
2. An Unexpected Setting
The most popular theory right now is that Suicide Squad takes place between the events of Man Of Steel and Batman V Superman. If true, that's rather disappointing, especially as it means this movie is going to do nothing to explore the ramifications of whatever happens when those two heroes end up going to war for the first time. Instead, it will be even more tedious Man Of Steel fallout. If anything, it would be much more interesting to set Suicide Squad a good five to ten years before the events of Batman V Superman. After all, the Caped Crusader has been in operation for over two decades, so there's lots of ground to cover there, and the World War I set Wonder Woman proves that these movies are going to be jumping all over the place in terms of this world's history. For this to work as an unexpected twist, Warner Bros. will need to keep the time setting under wraps until fans see the movie, but doing so would make this all the more interesting (especially if fans are left wondering what becomes of these villains). That way, by the next time we see The Joker, he could look drastically different, while Killer Croc could have undergone his full monstrous transformation!
