Suicide Squad: 8 Possible Spoiler Explanations For Batman's Role

2. To Team-Up With Them

When Sony were still moving ahead with a Sinister Six movie, it was reported that it could see the villainous team ultimately working alongside Spider-Man either because they were forcing him to or because they needed to unite to take down an even bigger threat. Something similar happening with Suicide Squad makes at least some sense, though what kind of threat would be bad enough to lead to Batman working with them isn't clear yet. Task Force X visiting Gotham might ultimately be enough to lead to some sort of interaction between Batman and the team of villains. Perhaps he'll observe them actually being heroes and give them his seal of approval (not that they'll want it) or will join them in battle for at least a few minutes when they find themselves overwhelmed by what they're facing. It may sound unlikely on paper, but it's worth noting that Task Force X have often performed heroic deeds. As a result, Batman throwing his lot in with them while they try and save his city is easy enough to believe if Suicide Squad heads in that direction.
